In 2003 when Dallas mom Kristen DeRocha couldn’t seem to find the perfect sling, she designed one of her own at her kitchen table. Once her friends and neighbors saw her using the sling it gained popularity and it wasn’t long before Hotslings was born.

Would recommend to anyone!Review by KSM
Rating As with any baby wearing, it takes practice getting baby in and out of anything. I have three different slings, all of which I love, but this is by far my favorite. I wish I had known about it before child # 3. It was so easy to throw on and slip baby in and out of. great for grocery shopping, walks to school, trips to the park, chasing two other young children, and navigating through the airport. Child always felt secure inside. The only difficulty was nursing while he was in the sling. The maya wrap was easiest for sling nursing purposes because it is adjustable. I, however, loved that I didn't have to adjust this ever and the little stretch in the fabric made it more comfortable for him and me. I do suggest that you try a few different "baby wearing" devices (for lack of a better word) to find the one that best suits your body. Take a baby doll with you or ask a friend who's used a sling (or other baby wearing device) to help you. Nothing is easy the first time...not even the bjorn.
Note that slings are great for gassy babies because it keeps their knees tucked up near their bellies. It also makes them feel more secure because they are close to your heart, and are snug...almost like being back in your belly. Obviously, I'm a HUGE sling fan, and couldn't imagine using anything else.

LOVE THE SLING - EVEN FOR TODDLERS!!Review by CountryGirl
Rating Slings are absolute life savers!! My 30lb 3yr old is completely hooked on hers. She wants to "hold me" everywhere we go and a sling makes it much easier. The really nice thing is that this very same sling that I use with my 3yr old, I've also used for her 2yr old 20lb cousin and his 3mo old baby brother. You will definitely get your money's worth out of this when it can be used for 3+ years! In my opinion, the measurement that is most important in choosing the appropriate size is your shoulder to hip measurement. Height and weight are deceiving since people carry their weight differently. Hope that helps! Happy baby-wearing!

Great productReview by Crazymama2006
Rating I used this for the first time today with my 12 day old and loved it! He is a big baby though so I am not sure how long I will get to use it because I am sure he will soon be too heavey despite how big they say baby can be for it. I would totally recommend it over baby bjorn and the other front carriers especially for early on, I used those with my first and couldn't stand them!
