When parents Michal and Brian Chesal and Issac and Aviva Wernick couldn’t find the right baby carrier on the market to accommodate their special needs children, they began to improve and redesign other slings and traditional front carriers that were available. In 2003, the Chesals and Wernicks reached a design that worked and Baby K’tan was born.

The Baby K’tan’s patent pending design is a cross between a traditional sling and a more structured front baby carrier that offers parents the carry positions and benefits of both types of carriers. With the unique double loop design, the Baby K’tan can be configured into 8 different carrying positions. Each Baby K’tan carrier is made of 100% soft, breathable knit cotton fabric.

The Florida based company donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Baby K’tan to the American Heart Association as well as to education, research, advocacy programs and the promotion of awareness of Down syndrome.
